Program Management
New Haven Schools Capital Program, Multiple projects
As program manager, Gilbane is managing all facets of a 12-year, 44-site, $1.15 billion rebuilding effort throughout the district. The project team is working as the district's single-source partner. Gilbane's scope of services includes a broad range of components — from hiring to purchasing to contractor negotiations. In assuming these responsibilities, Gilbane frees the district to concentrate on its top priority — educating the city's children.
When the city embarked on this program in 1998, it had been 25 years since the district had engaged in any significant construction program. At the end of the 12-year program, the district will enjoy six brand-new schools and 37 completely renovated, "like-new" schools.
Scope of service(s): Providing program management services, including planning and cost and schedule control, for $1.15 billion district-wide rebuilding effort. Start/Completion: February 1998/June 2011 Cost Range: $1.15 billion
